These terms govern your use of the Channel Islands Aviation Group ("CIAG", "we", "us") website and community. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.
1. What CIAG Is
CIAG is an unofficial, hobbyist flight simulation community. We are not affiliated with any real-world airline, aviation authority, or the operators of any simulator, network, or service we integrate with (including but not limited to Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, VATSIM, IVAO, NewSky, and Discord). Nothing on this site relates to real-world flight operations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this site, in line with Discord's own terms (since Discord login is part of how the community operates). If you're under the age required by your own country's laws to consent to data processing, please have a parent or guardian's permission before using the site.
3. Your Account
- You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, including enabling two-factor authentication if you'd like extra protection.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Provide accurate information when registering or updating your profile.
- Don't impersonate another member or a member of staff.
4. Acceptable Use
When using the site or our Discord server, don't:
- Post content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a general community.
- Upload liveries, documents, or images you don't have the right to share.
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
- Falsify flight data or otherwise misuse the flight-logging and statistics features.
- Use the site for spam, scams, or unauthorized advertising.
5. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of any liveries, documents, images, and text you upload. By submitting content, you grant CIAG a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute it through the site and our Discord server for as long as it remains published. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share anything you upload — we may remove content that infringes someone else's rights or breaks these terms.
6. Moderation
We may warn, mute, kick, or ban members (on the site and/or our Discord server) who break these terms or our community guidelines, at our discretion. Moderation actions are logged. We aim to be fair, but our decisions on moderation matters are final.
7. Third-Party Services
Some features rely on third-party services (Discord, NewSky, VATSIM, IVAO, NOAA's weather data). We don't control these services and aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, or any changes they make. Use of those services is also subject to their own terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Aircraft names, liveries, simulator names, and other third-party trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Site branding and original content belong to CIAG.
9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
This is a hobby community project provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CIAG and its staff aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breaching these terms. You can also request deletion of your own account at any time from your Portal profile.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
